Professional Standards Unit

The Professional Standards Unit (PSU) investigates complaints  about, and allegations of misconduct by, Transit Police officers and Community Safety Officers. PSU is staffed by experienced officers with specialized training in the handling of citizen complaints and Police Act investigations.

Not only does the PSU respond to complaints, they work proactively with all Transit Police Officers and Community Safety Officers to provide guidance and training and to identify emerging trends in police work that may lead to complaints. This close partnership also enhances the abilities of our officers to exceed the expectations of the police service and the communities that we serve.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the investigative process, do not hesitate to contact us.
