Transit Police Hoping to Locate Owner of Abandoned Urn

A sealed urn has been located and turned into Metro Vancouver Transit Police.

At 7:30 am, Monday, August 17, 2015, a citizen, on his way to work, found an urn just to the east of the Nanaimo SkyTrain Station in Vancouver. The urn was turned over to Transit Police.

The urn is described as seven inches tall, shiny black porcelain, with a gilded scene of peacocks in flowers and brushes on one side. The urn is tightly sealed leading to the possibility that it contains ashes.

Transit Police has completed all possible database checks regarding lost or stolen urns, with negative results. We would very much like to reunite this urn with the rightful owner.
