Public Appeal Leads to Arrest of Woman

New Westminster – A public appeal for information concerning a serious assault at Granville SkyTrain Station last September, has led to the arrest and charging of a Coquitlam woman.

On September 19, 2015, two young women were yelling racial slurs and harassing passengers at the Granville Station. Another woman politely asked them to stop and was attacked, suffering cuts, bruises, a black eye and injuries to one arm.

On November 30, 2015, a public appeal for information was issued, including photographs of the two women. A number of tips were received leading to the arrest on February 23, 2016, of Sarah Dawn Sullivan, 25 years, resident of Coquitlam, not previously known to police. Sullivan has been charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, released on an Undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to next appear in Vancouver Community Court on March 9, 2016.

Thanks to the Media for disseminating the appeal and to the public for their response.
