New Westminster – Charges have been approved by the BC Prosecution Service in the June 9, 2025 sexual assault that occurred on board a bus in Vancouver.
On June 9, 2025, a woman was inappropriately touched by a stranger while on board a crowded 99-B Line bus in Vancouver. An investigation was launched and the suspect was quickly identified and arrested.
On August 18, 2025, The BC Prosecution Service charged 27-year-old Rodrigo Algranti with one count of Sexual Assault. He was released from custody with several conditions including a “no-go” on any Coast Mountain Bus.
Algranti’s next court appearance is scheduled for August 25, 2025.
